很多同學平時作文，習慣用最直覺的港式中文思維（Chinglish）去寫 Simple Sentences（簡單句）：
“I think watching too much television is bad. Because it makes children fat and they do not study. So their exam results are bad.”
這段文字雖然沒有什麼嚴重的 Grammar error，但因其結構單一、Vocabulary 太普通，在 Language（語言）維度最高只能獲得 Level 3。考評局在官方評卷準則中明確指出，Level 4 或以上的星級候選人，必須具備靈活運用 Complex Structures（複合句式） 的能力。
所謂 Paraphrase（改寫），並不是單純換掉一兩個生字，而是重塑整個句子的骨架——將「主語+動詞」的簡單結構，升級為包含倒裝句、名詞化或讓步從句的萬能句型。這樣做能瞬間拉高文章的學術感與論證張力，是短時間內衝擊星級的最快路徑。

如何在 Exam 房內靈活改寫？（避開失分位）
在緊迫的考試時間內，想要臨急抱佛腳成功，請在動筆改寫時嚴防以下兩大致命陷阱：
- 嚴防「夾硬替換」導致的同義詞災難 (Word Choice Error)：很多同學在平時背了 Advanced Vocabulary，就以為只要查字典裡意思相近的字換進去就行。例如想改寫 “The environment is bad”，有同學查到 bad 的高級同義詞有 malicious（惡意的），於是寫出 “The environment is malicious”，這在閱卷員眼中會變成極其荒謬的笑話。改寫的前提，是你必須百分之百確定該詞彙的固定搭配（Collocations）與語境。
- 改寫時必須保留「核心文意」：Paraphrase 的最高境界是「變形不變意」。有些同學為了強行套用高難度的倒裝句（Inversion），把句子扭曲得連原本題目要求的論點（Content）都丟失了。請記住，考評局評分是 Content、Language、Organization 三者並重，絕對不能為了追求語言的高級感，而犧牲了內容的精準度。
